Mundan Shubh Muhurat dates in 2023. Mundan Samskara is the eight Sanskar out of the sixteen Sanskars mentioned in Hindu scriptures. In the Mundan ceremony Shubh Muhurat, the head of the child is shaved for the first time. It is believed that performing this ritual bestows good luck and prosperity in the child’s life. Also know as Chau Mundan, Jadula, Chura Karm or Chaul Karm Sanskar.

As per saying if Mundan rituals are performed in the Shubh Muhurat for Mundan, then it helps in eliminating the fickleness and other behavioral flaws of the child.
In addition to this, the Mundan Sanskar ceremony is believed to provide various advantages to a child by alleviating their internal body heat. It is commonly observed that newborns often have a hot and delicate head. The Mundan rituals serve to keep the baby's head cool and promote the proper development of their brain and nerves. From a scientific perspective, Mundan rituals, also known as tonsure, are highly beneficial for obtaining vitamin D. Additionally, they help alleviate the discomfort associated with the eruption of a baby's first teeth, reducing headaches. Furthermore, a baby's hair tends to grow unevenly, and shaving off the hair from their head facilitates healthy and even hair growth. To further enhance the auspiciousness and benefits of Mundan rituals, it is essential to perform the ceremony during a favorable and propitious time, known as Shubh Muhurat.
As per the hindu panchang Dwitiya, Tritiya, Panchami, Saptami, Dashami, Ekadashi or Thrayodashi Tithi are auspicious for mundan muhurat.
Friday is considered the most auspicious day to perform Chudakarana or Mundan Sanskar.
2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, 11th or 13th lunar days of the month are very auspicious.
